Our Service Advisors (George Evancho and Peter Reed) control the far left side of the dealership, where they write up customers for service and store the cars when they’re done, and awaiting pick-up.

Ruben is one of our valets who takes the MINIs to our Certified factory trained MINI technicians, about a mile away, for their visit.

We have five bays, with lifts, for service and 3 technicians. The MINI Parts department is right there, with all the right parts. In the same building is our pre-delivery preparation section, including 2 additional technicians, several assistants and a detailing team.
Each of our service MINIs gets a nice wash after all is done, in a new, state of the art wash area.

For the many who are not familiar with the above term, “Hovels”, please allow me to explain. This was the team name for our dealership in the MINI World Challenge 2007 – a world-wide contest for MINI Motoring and Service Advisors. Of the over 700 teams that participated in this “in-house” contest, we finished 2nd in the world! We won a fabulous trip to Hamburg, Germany. We had many MINI experiences there, and drove the MINI Clubman models long before they hit the US shores. Our instructors were Rauno Aaltonen, the well know (Flying Finn) Mini rally driver, and his son, Tino.
So, for the insiders, we are all known as “Hovels”, and proud of it!

That trip sounds like it was a ton of fun.

The blog looks great Peter! Let’s get an update on the JCW cars… specifically, when you can send one my way;)
