The new JCW MINI models – both the hardtop and the clubman, were first shown at the New York auto show this year. Now, around July 15th, they will be in the MINI showrooms.
These will be MINIs with some serious performance enhancements, such as: exclusive wheels, bigger brakes, new exhaust system that sounds great, modified transmissions, optimized internal engine compenents like pistons and cylinder head, new dynamic traction control and electronic differential lock control, plus torque of 192 ft-lbs @ 1850 rpm and 207 ft-lbs at over-boost.
The cars are named after John Cooper :

I tried to get a drive in a JCW up in Boston at MTTS. Too bad they weren’t letting it out on the Auto-X course.
Drove almost everything else. Similar family characteristics but distinctly different personallities.
If I had to choose it was very close between the blue and the green. Just not really sure which color is faster.
